All members are important to the ConnectShareCare community. Please visit and contribute often. The simple rules listed below will help keep ConnectShareCare safe, supportive, inclusive, and respectful.

Be active.

  • Visit the group on a regular basis to read discussions and posts.
  • Even if you don't respond with a comment, let people know you are reading their posts by clicking on a reaction button.

Be kind.

  • Ask questions to help you understand the views of others.
  • Be respectful of others' beliefs.
  • Sarcasm or jokes often translate poorly and can be taken the wrong way.
  • Avoid criticism of members or health care providers.

Be polite.

  • Use appropriate and supportive language.
  • Typing in ALL CAPS can be difficult to read and people may think you are shouting at them.

Don’t give out medical advice.

  • This site is not meant to give you medical advice or recommend a course of treatment and you should not rely on it to provide you with a recommended course of treatment.  It is not intended, and should not be used, to replace the advice or care provided by your healthcare professional. 
  • Before making any treatment decisions, you should consult with your healthcare professional and discuss your treatment options.

Be safe.

  • Don’t share your personal information (or anyone else’s.) Don’t share phone numbers, addresses or social security numbers. It is your decision whether to use your real name.
  • Keep your password confidential.
  • Click “Report Comment” to notify the moderator about offensive postings.

No commercial postings, self-promotion, advertisements or solicitations.
